About Jason Kron

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA) serving adults across North Carolina. I work with individuals navigating chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, substance use, and the emotional impact of major life transitions. My practice also supports leaders and professionals facing burnout, perfectionism, ADHD in high achievers, and substance use in the workplace.

Before becoming a counselor, I spent over 20 years in senior roles across healthcare, finance, and analytics. I understand the weight of stress, burnout, and professional pressure because I have lived through them. My decision to transition into counseling was shaped by my own experience managing chronic pain. That journey left me physically limited, emotionally exhausted, and often misunderstood. Today, that experience informs how I support others who feel unseen or overwhelmed by their circumstances.

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, existential therapy, and attachment theory. I currently work at One Eighty Counseling, seeing clients in our Cary and Garner offices and virtually across North Carolina.

I hold an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, an MBA and a Master of Information Management from Washington University in St. Louis, a BS in Psychology from Penn State, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential. My goal is to help people clarify what matters most and build more stable, authentic, and meaningful lives.
